Will wonders never cease?

I'd do the traditional reflection thing here except that I really don't have the time this year. Maybe when I graduate from school. Speaking of, I need to fill out my graduation preapproval forms

So, 5 years since my junior year of high school and I'm finally starting to do what I've always wanted to do: make games. I can do 3D graphics programming now--a feat I thought unimaginable at 17. I can do 3D art and I've worked in the industry (at a network security startup over the summer). Unlike all my previous internships, this was the first one I wasn't itching to be done with. I'd say that's a sign that I've found the industry in which I belong.

This coming May, assuming I don't fuck up, I'll have a BS in computer science and I'll hopefully be heading off to grad school to get an MS. I've made a few really good friends that I hope I'll keep in touch with forever and though I still have the experience of a five year-old with that bullshit sack of lies people idiotically refer to as "love", I think I've learned how to better handle myself when dealing with stupid brain chemical things like that.

Hopefully we'll see an end to the Republican-controlled government fascist oligarchy that's been controlling the US since before I even joined this site in about a week. That said, people are stupid and many of those who aren't are evil. We'll see what happens.

So yeah. I'm still a cynical bitch, but I've learned a lot since I signed up here and since going off the university. I think, in general, things are pretty okay.
